I’m Joel Randeree of iWiz IT Support and this is my first blog! As such, I thought it would be a good idea to delve a bit into my history in the tech industry, when and why I founded iWiz IT Support, and what I hope to achieve with the company.
I started out in the tech industry in 2015 at an Apple Authorised Reseller in Durban, KZN. Initially focusing on B2B sales & procurement, I gradually shifted to a more technical role and by 2019 I was first line IT support to several businesses and over 100 Mac users throughout Durban. This gave me an understanding of the IT challenges SMEs face.
When the 2020 pandemic hit many companies struggled to adapt to remote work. I began assisting businesses with their transition to Microsoft 365 and other cloud providers. I also took on administering several Microsoft 365 tenants and onsite file servers.
In 2023, I founded iWiz IT Support in Cape Town with the aim of being the go-to IT partner for SMEs, acting as their “in-house” IT expert without the full-time cost. My vision was to provide comprehensive IT solutions tailored to the needs of each business. From helpdesk support and network setup to email and server administration, website hosting, software management, and new equipment setup, iWiz IT Support is designed to handle it all.
The value proposition hit home, and I can proudly say I now have customers all over the Cape Metro who rely on me to keep their IT infrastructure running. My goal is to continue expanding and delivering IT solutions that allows entrepreneurs and managers to focus on what they do best – running and growing their businesses!
